Thesis Title: A critical theory of social practices

Axel Honneth

About

I am an assistant professor for social philosophy at the Institute for Philosophy at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.

My research interests are in the methodological foundations of critical theory, the role of recognition on the ontological level of normative social practices and the constitution of collective agents. I am also interested in ethics, metaethics, philosophy of the social sciences and 19th and 20th century German philosophy, especially Kant, Hegel and Marx.

As I find Academia.edu an absolutely awful way to connect to people (why do all these insane questions appear on the homepage?), I invite you to add me on either Diaspora* or Google Plus.
